The Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies and the Doctoral School of Historical and Cultural Studies cordially invite you to the Summer Party 2025 – an evening where we will not only celebrate together, but also honor the outstanding achievements of our doctoral candidates and faculty members.

As in previous years, we will grant the Grete Mostny Dissertation Award, which recognizes the excellent research of the graduates of our doctoral program. This year, we are also pleased to present the Teaching Awards for the first time – a recognition of exceptional and inspiring teaching.

Afterward, we kindly ask you to join us for the HistKult Summer Party – with great music, stimulating conversations, and good food & drinks.

To ensure our youngest guests and parents also feel welcome, we have a special offer: The Flying Nannies will organize a cheerful program to provide an exciting and varied experience for children. If you would like to take advantage of this service, please let us know by May 16th using the form below.

Program

3:00 PM Welcome by Dean Christina Lutter and Vice Dean Gerald Moers & Presentation of the Teaching Awards

4:00 PM Opportunity to learn about innovative teaching projects of our faculty and informal exchange with the recipients of the Teaching Awards.

4:45 PM Presentation of the Grete-Mostny Dissertation Awards

Followed by a reception & food & music

Music will be provided by Acoustic Delight.

Registration

To give us the opportunity to plan food & drinks ahead, we kindly ask you to register for the event until June 3. Please register your child for the Flying Nannies by May 16.
