Info-Veranstaltung zum COST Programm (24. Februar, 17:00 to 19:00)

The European-funded COST Programme supports the setting up and development of international research networks. COST Actions are bottom-up networks (i.e. open to all subject areas) with a duration of four years that boost research, innovation and careers. The next COST call is open, with a deadline of 29. April 2020. The Programme does not explicitly fund research, but rather scientific networking, collaboration, dissemination and training activities (e.g. scientific workshops, travel costs) – average funding amounts to € 130.000. There is also the possibility for researchers to join already running COST Actions. Participants often go on to develop larger EU and international projects together. As such, the COST Programme is an ideal funding scheme for establishing (new) collaborative research networks across Europe and beyond which can be the basis for capacity building, strong, sustainable and successful consortia.

The EU Office of the DLE Research Services and Career Development is organizing an information session on the COST Programme. In this session, Nicole Schmidt from the National Contact Point FFG will provide an overview of the Programme as well as all necessary information on how to apply. In addition, the event will include a presentation from a current COST participant. The event will take place on Monday, 24. February from 17:00 to 19:00 in Seminar Room 1, Berggasse 7 (ground floor).

Please register at forschungsservice@univie.ac.at as places are limited.
